My Internship: What I Did
Throughout the past academic year, I gained the opportunity to join The Launch Box team as a Media Relations Intern. Within this role I explored the importance of finding the best suited audience, understanding the individual talents of the team, and combining the two to find the opportunities where those talents can be highlighted, thus increasing the firm’s reach.
The structure of the company allowed me to gain insight into the moving parts of business that related to not only The Launch Box itself, but additionally the clients it serves. After obtaining the opportunity from Bill Poston, a fellow Bobcat, through his leadership course, I was able to work alongside a team of ambitious, driven, and talented people who carried a passion for what they do.
With the observations and lessons I picked up from being immersed in the ‘real world’ of business, I was able to walk away an inspired and more curious self.
My Internship: What I Learned
Under the guidance and leadership of Amy Kenly, I picked up valuable lessons, thought provoking conversations, and a broader impression and understanding of how marketing affects and influences business. This ultimately led me to increase the scope of my studies, as I now plan to add a minor in Mass Communications.
I owe a tremendous amount of gratitude to The Launch Box team and I am looking forward to all the future holds!
