Fatima graduated from UAG University with a bachelor’s degree in accounting and has over five years of experience in Mexican and US accounting and taxes. She is committed to personal and professional growth in alignment with her core values of respect, loyalty, integrity, empathy, and ethics, while always prioritizing client needs.

Explain your career path—how did you become an Accounting Specialist?

I graduated in accounting from UAG University. I started my professional career at a young age, working as an intern at accounting firms. As my experience grew, I was hired as a part-time accounting staff. After completing my bachelor's degree, I joined Deloitte as a full-time accountant. About a year ago, I worked at Cadencia, gaining experience in US accounting procedures and taxes. Currently, I am working at The Launch Box as an accounting specialist, where my background aligns with my years of experience.

Can you describe your personal self?

I’m an extrovert, so enjoy spending time knowing all my teammates and hanging out with them. I am a loyal friend, I love reading books, drinking coffee, watching movies or a good Netflix series.

What are your top personal values and how do you apply those to your work?

Kindness, honesty, loyalty, respect, and empathy are values I apply to both clients and teammates. I believe these values are essential for creating the best work environment and providing the best service.

What is a common misconception you hear about Accounting/finance?

I believe there are misconceptions about accounting and finance. It's essential to consider your capabilities and worth as you advance professionally.

What is the most fulfilling part of your role at TLB?

The most fulfilling part is that I can continue learning a variety of things in accounting and payroll.
